It’s finally Going To happened,  The most popular messaging mobile app What'sApp officially introduced video calling for its over 1 billion users worldwide on Android, iOS and Windows platform. At the moment, the update has not rolled out to all in India, but it is expected to arrive soon.

"We're introducing this feature because we know that sometimes voice and text just are not enough," What'sApp said this in a blog post. "And we want to make these features available to everyone, not just those who can afford the most expensive new phones or live in countries with the best cellular networks."

No arguments here that technology giants are focusing heavily on video chat applications. Microsoft, Apple and Google offer video chatting with the hope of attracting more users. To keep up with the growing competition, social networks such as Facebook Messenger and Snapchat also offer text, file, voice and video features, all clubbed into only one app. Even though i think What'sApp might have joined the playground a bit late, it is undoubtedly going to give a little tough time to the incumbent players.

Recently, WhatsApp has released an update for iOS which allows users to send and receive GIFs files via the popular messaging service. Apart from the preloaded GIFs that come with the update, users can also able to access the huge library of Giphy to get that perfect animation for a conversation. Users will be able to make changes to a GIF -- like add captions, stickers, stretches and shorten the length of an animation -- before using it like snapchat and the other instagram.

In addition, WhatsApp will also allow users convert their personal videos into GIFs. This feature can be accessed directly from the camera roll, by tapping on a video button and then selecting the GIF toggle option. However, this option will only work if the video is 6 or 7 seconds or shorter.

In an exclusive to the iOS version of WhatsApp messanger, users will be able to convert their Live Photos into GIFs before sending it to someone. To use, you have to simply tap on the ‘Attach’ option < select ‘Photo/Video Library’ < Use 3D Touch on a Live Photo < tap on ‘Select as GIF’.
